Wool from our heritage breed sheep, processed and spun at Battenkill Mills. Each skein is worsted weight yarn, 2-ply, with 220 yards. The wool comes from our heritage breed sheep, Lincoln Longwools, listed as “threatened” by the Livestock Conservancy. It is medium-grade wool with a springy texture and beautiful luster, ideal for socks, hats, mittens, and needlework projects. Softer than the Dorset.
